Established in 2017, The Tanzania Environmental Experts Association is an association with a voluntary membership that represents the interest of its members in the Tanzania Environmental Sector. The association plays a fundamental role within the sector as a mediator between the Investors and key stakeholders, mostly notably the Government of Tanzania and the public.

Tanzania Environmental Experts Association is a national voluntary association of the environmental experts registered under the Societies Act, CAP.337 [R.E 2020] of 2017 recognized by the Experts Registration Regulation of 2020 however, its affairs are coordinated by the Register of Societies under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the highest body of the association. The Association structure has a team of Office bearers made up of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary-General, Treasurer, and other three members work voluntarily.
